How many secondaries do most people like to have behind the pumpkin?
Thanks

Don't completly trust me I'm new to this but I've heard at least 14. Most people try to get as many as possible while also staying at a pollination distance anywhere from 12-16 feet (some people pollinate further out if they want to let the plant get bigger first

I like a minimum of 14 also.minimum of 10 feet out.go longer and more side vines if time and space permit

Just for clarification, are we talking secondaries on each side of the main, or are we counting both sides?

I was asking about total secondaries before plant. I'm at about 18 ft right now and have 16 secondaries total before my fruit.

I like 8 to 10 on each side at the first pollination but as always you do what ya gotta do.
