Hello everyone Someone know why the blossom start to be soft? Is possible to cut it and to disinfect the cutting? Can it to be caused from hot temps, or it is a symptom of a future abort?? Thanks

I had one last year last year finish my season after my other plant was annihilated by a bad storm. It started a small white spot and just kept getting bigger and deeper. It is very hot and humid here so I am sure that didn't help. I kept a fan on it, but nothing would slow it. It's hard to cut at that area cause of the thin walls on the blossom, so I just shaved the rotting part, but did not cut it like you would a stem.
