I could not agree more Norman.
John was the very first to my knowledge ( in the great little state of R.I.) to attract interest in giant pumpkin growing.

Ronnie and I met John in early 1992. We had seen his photo in the paper and contacted him about the hobby.
Through john we also met Don Langevin ,very soon there after, we formed the "TUESDAY NIGHT SUPPER CLUB"

a massive feast held every tuesday night at our homes.
we talked growing and of course after stuffing ourselves? more talking pumpkins.

It was my honor as a gpc area rep to welcome John into the GPC hall of fame.
A most deserved recognition for a very knowledgeable, multiple state championships.

John was like the father i never had. You will never find a more kind, caring, thoughful, gentle man than John Castellucci.

As we get older over the years, we may not see each other as before however, the love and respect never leaves.

I could go on and on but in the end? Lets just say there will never be another man as kind and humble as mr. John Castellucci.

The world lost a true gentleman.god bless you john, i hope you are finally with your beloved Cassy.

He was truly a good and giving man. Better yet he was THE MAN, in Giant Pumpkin circles, back in the formative years of our sport, when an 800 pound AG was World Class. Always made time for you if you had a question. Rhode Islands Castellucci Cup, is awarded every year to be the best AG grower. One of many fitting memorials Mr. Castellucci. Will miss you John...

I feel very blessed to have known John, he was a very kind and giving man. Steve Sperry and I spent many afternoons learning how to grow pumpkins at John's farm. He showed you every thing he knew gave you any thing he had and always enjoyed a few cold ones. God bless you John! Rest in peace.
