Do they take a while to sprout? Most of my beans have not sprouted in over a week, but only two of them.

I soak mine about 6 hours before planting them, it probably wouldn't hurt to scuff them up, they have a pretty tough outer shell.I think all of mine usually come up within a week

I think they are slower than pole beans or bush beans by a couple days.

I soaked my remaining castor beans overnight in warm water and planted them this morning where the other ones did not come up with two extra planted on the southern end of the patch to help act as a wind break over time.
