When spraying Roundup, what kind do you use? Just the regular Roundup or extended control? What about the secondary root system, does burying the vine ruin the effectiveness of the Roundup allowing the root to grow?

If you are talking about using Roundup in or around your plants stay far away from the extended control stuff. I learned the hard way a couple of years ago.

Save some money and buy a generic glyphosate at a farm supply store. Tom is correct. Stay away from anything with residual control.

look for Glyphosate only on the label. Anything else will kill your plant

Iowegian is right on. I bought a 2.5 gallon jug of generic glyphosate concentrate for $32 at my local farm supply.

Also look for the percentage %, unless you like paying for water.

And, personal choice I never use Roundup or Glyphosphate in the pumpkin patch, but use it for pathways, rock gardens and other areas. Again, personal choice.
