Subject: pumpkin from a double flower as your keeper.

Would you do it? I have A female flower that is going to be in the perfect position on the vine. I want to aim for it as my keeper, but there is also a male flower coming out of the same node. Has any one done this before? Do you think there are any potential problems with this.
