I have a plant that is approximately a foot and a half away from the stump. It has forked and produced two stems that are equal in size. Each stem has a pumpkin starting. Is it possible to have two mains?

I don't think it's possible to have two main vines. It may be a secondary coming off the main. Do you remember what vine was the main first?

I have seen plants set a second main running opposite from the other main. Only a couple percent of the plants, but it can happen.

Put a picture in your diary, a visual always helps. And Henry...most anything is possible with these plants.

Sounds like a double vine that split into two reg. vines. If so -grow one as a main and the other as a secondary.
