I planted doubles about 18-24" apart. Getting close to cull time. I'd rather pull the cull but surely that will disturb the keepers roots. So I plan on cutting at soil line. Any suggestions?

Cutting is the best. But just for your info a few years back there was a local grower who lost all of his plants and I dug up the partner double plant from a couple of sites and I saw no change in growth from the plant left behind.

If cutting, is any treatment needed on the cut? Fungicide, etc...bury it? Peace, Wayne
