I grew one with seeds in blossom in 2014. I had to go with it because it was getting into early July for pollination. It turned out good, no issues at all. It was in my very wet area at the bottom of my patch, which holds water. It ended up at 1100 pounds. If you have more time, pollinate the next one or two and see how they look.

Same here and same year, but all mine were deformed a bit which led to a blossom end split. The pumpkin basically never had a chance due to such a crooked butt.

Fruit with seeds in the blossom tend to be very thin on the blossom end and therefore more likely to have blossom end splits. The seeds should be contained inside the plants equivalent of an ovary. When they are outside the "ovary" and can been seen in the blossom, it can be trouble. Some make it to the end (the 1985 Miller did). Many do not.

There will literally be little seeds stuck\growing on the lobe when you go to pollinate. You'll know something is up.

Out of about ten pumpkins last year.... the one with seeds in the blossom was also the first to rot. They might make it but in my experience it's far from the best prospect.

Happened on one of my plants last year, kept culling until one ended up ok on a side vine. Sometimes a plant will pull out of it.

id only keep it if i absolutely had to.some do make it. seeds in the blossom are a real defect and could make the blossom end weak and possibly prone to splitting at some point in the season. take another one down the line pap
