New grower this year. When exactly should I expect my plants to start sending off secondaries? Main vine almost 3 feet long

At each leaf node where the leave's stem connects to the vine is where the secondaries will form and grow from. The secondaries will be really small at first. Your plant should soon be starting to grow them out.

Thanks. I'm curious if maybe there was a certain plant size before most people see vining secondaries?

5-7 feet for me, mine always seem delayed compared to others due to heavy shade. Also, a few usually don't start until the main is terminated and then they show up. Give the nodes plenty of room and don't bury until the secs pop.

Most of mine show signs of the secondaries and they haven't laid down yet.

I'm not worried I guess but hopefully by at least 7 feet they start coming out

Hayden. Three of my plants are seven ft long. And just showing signs of secondaries. My hoops are around 60 deg at night. That's why I think there so long now. With the warm weather coming up you should see some rapid growth and secondaries popping out fast. Just dont bury until you have at least one or two leaves on the secondary. I think last year I buried to soon and stunted my secondaries
