I just found access to some well aged manure piles from ranch resorts. I can remember in the past ..35 years ago...that a lot of the aged piles were loaded with redworms. They called them blood worms. I'm guessing if you have massive life in these piles it should be good for the garden. Might stockpile and might spread some. Can't plant for three weeks anyway. Not worried about diseases or weeds..about beneficial for the garden. Plus it's free!!

If I wasn't half way across the country, I would be after that black gold.

Big T, sounds like gold to me. Like a buddy of mine with horses, there are piles in the trees composted and waiting from an earlier generation of farmers. Take it while you can, good luck this year, keep that diary updated with pictures.

Finally got a smartphone and my niece showed me the basics that I want it for. Will have more pics in the future. Going old manure hunting the next couple days. Lots of ranch resorts and riding stables in the area. Will start stock piling for the future. It's free why not take it.
