bnot forgot to point out that his 704.5, while a nice effort is below average and needs improvement.

i knew i shouldn't have picked my 704.5 the day before the weigh-off and then drive 200 miles to the weigh-off without shrink wrapping or stems in water. Must have lost 1.7 pounds on the trip. This year...shrink wrap for sure...i need to get to average.

I will take a moment to point out that the 814.5 was grown off the mighty 811 gerhardt and also won a Howard dill award. Them's some big shoes to fill with only 150 square feet guys and gals!

I grew my 684 pumpkin in 85sq ft this year. Hydroponic though. Next year I'll have the same space but double the secondary roots.

There may have been bigger pumpkins grown in 150 sq ft..but this is the list from the open competition in Team Pumpkins 150 sq ft challenge. To make it on this list, have to be an official entrant. The entries closed April 15 so if you are not in it this year make plans for next year.

the 'original winners' were in a closed contest(morning chat) which was not open to all so I consider them separately. No different than anyone else who may have grown a pumpkin in 150 square feet but not part of this contest series. Your not alone Pumpkin JAM as Matt-man has also grown in a similar area but not part of the contest. He is in the contest this year.

For those who don't know, yes Pumpkin JAM was the winner of the closed Morning chat contest for the heaviest pumpkin and FlatNorm won for the prettiest pumpkin.

Is that the same guy that blows up all his fruit each year?

Or someone different?

Post says 150 sq/ft all time top ten. It does not use words contest. So does that not mean a reference to all pumpkins grown on 150 sq/ft?

Next year pumpkin jam you need to get back into the official 150 competition. By then I will have figured out how to potentially blow up a 150 plant. I have been taking notes from you for the past few years on how to push a pumpkin past it's limits. I still have 5 pounds of UreaMate left to spread. By the way Joe congrats on you 1700 pounder last spring. Expecting you to be the next Wi grower to break 2k.
