The GPC is proud to announce we have been approved as a donee-association on WorldClassGardening.com

http://WorldClassGardening.com

Now, grower-sellers who choose to donate seeds to the GPC can begin inserting those seeds
into the WorldClassGardening.com store, and the designated proceeds will be donated to the GPC.

How wonderful is that?

If you have still have donated, unsold seeds in your possession, and want to sell them year round,
you can login at WorldClassGardening.com and insert those seeds into your inventory for the benefit of the GPC.

The GPC wants to THANK Don Langevin for the opportunity to join his renown website > WorldClassGardening.com.
For questions and answers please contact Don at his website address listed above.

Thank You for your support.

When are you going to resign in disgrace from your position with the GPC?

It really doesn't deserve a reply but claremoron read the posts a few threads down.."stormy weather ahead" . I am glad to see the option of gpc support on Don's site. I think that there are many growers out there that have an issue of selling seeds but would like to make their seeds available to the public. Hoping this will help.

lindley and moron, you 2 seem like a couple of snowflakes from the colleges that demand professors or college presidents resign because they dont agree with them.
And as bnot said above many people dont like the selling of seeds but that is up to the individual, people really dont like people posting on the seed exchange to trade seeds and then sell some one else's valuable seeds for there own benefit.

I would also like to ask what the GPC intends to do with the money raised from seed sales?

Please explain how the GPC's new partnership with World Class Gardening absolves you from the consequences of your actions of accusing a fellow grower of large-scale fraud.

It appears that you're using this new partnership as a diversionary tactic to help clean the egg from your faces.

Help a moron out with a detailed explanation?

i suggest we keep the discussion of the "controversy" to one thread. I could find myself having a hard time to read these threads if every thread leads to same controversy and turns into a name calling, hate filled speech. This is a thread about the option of selling seeds with proceeds going to the benefit of the GPC. I am of the group of growers that believe that seeds have financed this hobby for many years. It is a hobby to me not a business, i expect to spend more than I earn. Seeds are for me a way to giving back for the good of the pumpkin community. The question of how the GPC will allocate the proceeds of these sales is a good question. I not knowledgable about the financial situation the GPC. I have seen the yearly end of season asset report..for a few years, but that is the limit of my knowledge. My suggestion is to start an investment program funded by the sale of seeds donated for GPC purposes. Interest from this fund could go to general fund for expenses. After much time..the GPC could be very financial stable. I think most of us would hope that pumpkin growing will be an option for our children and grandchildren.

Thanks for the bloviating reply.

Still waiting for an answer to my question.

If you believe that you can circulate an e-mail filled with accusations of fraud, yet not be held accountable for answering questions regarding those accusations...

Think again.

I have never in all the years I have been involved this website put a user on my ignore list, including the amelio years....i am getting very close. Claremoron, this is the second time I have paid attention to your nick....the first was when you insinuated that a brand new growers was under the influence of meth, because you didn't like her diary. Good luck getting the other growers to respect your opinion...

Go right ahead and block me.

I rarely bother to offer my opinion regarding the technical aspects of growing, since I know that most of what I see on this site barely exceeds educated guesses and old husbands' tales.

I base my life on FACTS, not OPINIONS.

Bob the problem Ray and his bunch have is that they've never had people stand up to them... they think they can run over people and force it on them...

I have looked at Don's site, it appears to me that individual clubs can also register to receive the funds from the seed sales. This could be a great help for some clubs that do not have the ability to set up their own websites. I already know of one club that potentially could use this to the benefit of the growers. It seems to me to be something that might be worthwhile to look at more closely.

I am not saying there is not an issue Jeremy...the problem is letting the issue overrun this site. There is consideration for the growers that come here and just want to grow and enjoy themselves. You have to pick the right places to have the battles. I think that a majority of the established growers are aware of the situation. They probably are of really mixed opinion. It is not an issue that is going to be solved in an instant. We are adults..some of us really old adults...lets act that way

The problem with inserting the issue into this thread is it hurts those that could benefit from it..the thread becomes useless..So who can benefit from this thread? My local club for one. I have had many discussions on ideas with the organizers on how to help with the fund raising for next year. We have talked about the possibility of a "Best of Weighoff" seed package. The problem is...none of the organizers are internet savvy. Putting up a webpage as some clubs have..is a major obstacle. The ability to use Don's might help the local growers here..and many others around the country. Destroying this thread for the "issue" is not the right place to have the battle. Sorry about 3 posts in a row...i try not to do that

Man that is funny! Moron, are you saying that the grower diaries are lies and not facts on what actually works for people in different climates? Jeremy, I dont have a problem with any of this as it is people expressing their opinions. Hey Chop, its all good as I don't worry about people that have never met me and think that "me and my bunch" have anything to do with this.

Did I state that anyone LIES about their methods?

A LIE is when you intentionally state something which you know is not the truth.

My point was that I see quite a bit of anecdotes and educated guesses on this site.

Pull your head out.

I'm with you Jlindley. I've only been on here 7 years, but have seen similar situations. I saw it with another guy years back over Mycos. It seems like lots of collusion.

I'd also rather have my money go to someone with a family and not a club.

Donk, funny you tell someone they make no "sents"... like mail? You make no sense dude!

Same here.. I'd rather my money stay in the hobby... not for some corporate exec to have a lake or beach house...
