Thanks! Seed had been held in the freezer for years. No chemical treatment. Just filed seed and put it in the soil. Popped in 8 days. So far it's a strong plant.

My 500 Wallace was stored down in my basement 65 degrees, in air tight container.... I hope this encourages other growers to try their old gems of the past... WOW and I thought 14 years was a phenom...now Ill try my orange Simpson seeds....

That's cool to get a 24 year old ag seed to sprout-who knew.Does anyone remember the diary entry about field pumpkin seeds that were in a canning jar in a shed that sprouted that were really old.Cant remember all the details but they were something like 40/50 years old if my memory is correct.
