Chance of snow here tonight. Just like every other year, I haven't built any cold frames yet. Maybe i should just build some temporary planters instead, and keep my seedlings inside where it is nice and warm.

told myself all winter dont start to early start on may 1 ,started on easter ,now iam carrry 4 gallons pot from the front window in the house out to deck back in at night ,what a pain,have 8 plants,is it worth it ,plants dint take off till end may ,last year late pollation july 20th can still get 1250 easy

Looked like a good global warmed spring here and then back to reality.Pretty easy to get frost and snow at 5340 ft elevation-better than a lot of 100 degree weather that we'd get if at sea level.At least vine borers cant fly in our thin air.Good luck to everybody this year- may everyone grow a PB.

We are looking at a few cloudy, wet days with highs in the 50's and lows around 40. Our garden is only at 800 ft. elevation, but the hills around us go up to 970. And the valley below us turns into a narrow winding, tree-lined rock canyon. So air can't flow through and cold air sinks in. On cold, cloudless calm nights, we get frost when others don't

5-8" on snow at 25 for a low this Saturday....I hope to put my plantZ in on Sunday... The window of opportunity is small.
