Interesting idea. I dont see any reason why it wouldnt be as good or better than sand. She looks like she wants to tuck her blossom under already... but it will all be good. Maybe pumpkin growers should be circulating air under them like the watermelon growers... granted, I'm not sure all the reasons the watermelon growers do theirs off the ground, or if they get more even development because of it.
