Val and I went to Grahamsville NY over the weekend and attended their small local Pumpkin Party which is a fundraiser for the local library. We were saddened to learn that one of our Pumpkin Growing Community's most passionate growers had passed away. I don't believe I had seen anything mentioned on this site before. His son Ryan was in attendance and has kept the family hobby alive and continues to grow the Giants that he grew up with his dad teaching him. He will be missed.

Rich was a great guy. Folks may remember him from the "Lord of the Gourds" documentary years back.

Very sad news. I was always glad to speak to him at the Cooperstown weighoff(s). Very nice guy. Yes, he will indeed be missed. eg
