Thoughts? Haven't had this and thought it would be too early for a deficiency like magnesium. I don't think I've overwatered compared to the past either. It's on both seedlings and the second leaf on one of the plants is scrunched. I'm not that worried cause they'll see the garden Sunday and the second leaf usually gets cut as a kickstand anyway.

Thanks

Can mean too intense light. Maybe the lights you have on them needs to be raised? Happens to me sometimes too, raise the lights and they grow out of it.

just my observation, but I think too intense light, too much water, too cold, too hot and others stressors can cause the leaves to be deformed or light yellow around edges. its hard to mimic nature.

I'd say to close to light/too much heat...

Do you have a fan lightly blowing on the plants? It sounds like heat damage from the lights. I've had that before and a fan will help cool things down.

Luke Ole buddy how u been ? Sounds like too much heat to me. Just don't spray roundup on them like a few years back !

Hey Ted, glad to see you on here. That roundup was my wife's fault, not me. lol. Watch that rain down there.

I moved the lights up, and it probably is heat and light combo. The second true leaf on the 1495 got fried. New year, another classic start.

If it helps Luke, I cooked mine 2 plants from the top and bottom. They responded to the stress and are really doing well now. Just get them in the ground and take care.

On a 1000 watt Badboy light system I find a minimum of 16" from the light at least... plus a isolating fan on 3' from the table on all the time is needed. Even with that, pumpkins seem OK but too hot for Basil... If my fan dies I think they would fry.

The fan helps stiffen the main stem to our colorado hurricane force windZ

The fan definitely helps strengthen plants. Plants grown with fans tend to have thinker stems and leaf stocks

plus moves oxygen to the leaves as well helping them breathe.

Don't panic it's probably just a lack of feed and probably the big elements like Nitrogen.
