Where a grower can buy or sell Competition Pumpkin & Vegetable Seeds, books and products.

One can choose to RAISE money for your own clubs to support the continued growth of the hobby.

trust! I would never trust a person that enters his own contests. win or lose its just not right.. and another thing ,ken earns money off his paying clients for advertising. with that said , I have watched you advertise for years without paying for it. do you think its fair for Holland , ron, and others to pay ken and not you? funny thing that you only paid for it when you were pressured into it. your lucky ken is an easy going guy not to kick you off this site a long time ago.

I don't see a problem with an organizer entering a competition that they organize. I have seen many pumpkin weigh-offs with the weigh-off organizer competing. Myself, I organized and entered this Winters Tomato Challenge. Of course, it had zero entry free and cost me for prizes, but it was worth it for the fun. Flat Norm runs and has an entry in the 150 sq ft challenge. But he refuses to accept any prize winnings...even though i think he should...but that entry fee is only $2. It is true that Bubba has used Big Pumpkins as an advertising platform for many years. He is not the only one to do so. It becomes a really fine line where the benefit of allowing unpaid advertising to the growers is offset by the negatives. I have to think that Bubba has been pushing that line way more than any of the other businesses that sometimes post. If you look at the wwgg members..you will notice... i am not on that list.

I love all foolish misconceptions people have in life.You guys should of seen Marley at Niagara.I saw the name Marley and thought for a second he was Steve Marley.He about puked on the floor when I spoke to him.lol I didnt know paying for a monthly banner was a 12 month contract on BP .lol Somehow I missed the fine print.Ken should hire Marley as his PR man marketing director ROFL

Mark,

Several growers ordered from you, then compared seeds. They found significant differences in size and color.

This was probably a setup, but I cannot ignore their accusations.

As you know, I am 50% deaf and have a lot of problems hearing and understanding via phone.

thanks Ken...i will not let the question of unpaid advertising cloud my mind anymore. As soon as i finish development of my new product- Earthworm Slime..(who knows roots better than the worm)...i will be sure to inquire for advertising fees. I hope if i get too carried away with promoting this wonderful product that you can overcome your niceness...and let me know i am taking advantage. Thanks for all you do Ken.
