We have entries from 6 different countries so it's going to be fun. Its a great place to plant that orange seed and grow a Howard Dill entry while growing for weight. Sort of a 2 for 1. Double your fun !

...100% behind you Bart. Hopefully no one who wants to enter misses the deadline.

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my entry. Decided I just don't have space for it. Good luck to everyone participating.

Your USA taxes may not be due until the 18th but your 150 contest registration is due tomorrow the 15th. What is everyone waiting for...join the fun now or be left behind all season.

Hey Brandon, just wondering if a squash could be grown? The rules say Atlantic Giant... I take that to mean "pumpkins" only? Would Team-Pumpkin be willing to open competition to all cultivars of Cucurbita maxima in the future?

The Atlantic Giant has a diverse gene pool. Sometimes we get what we expect and sometimes… oops where did that come from ? While we would like to see pumpkin colors there is no color exclusion rule.

Jay, sorry to see your going to withdraw before you even get started. I will send to a refund of your entry fee tomorrow.

Matt has a lot of experience growing in limited space so we will see what he brings to the contest. I've heard FlatNorm is ready for him.....

Matt, glad to see your growing in the 150 competition. I have on the calendar circled the last Saturday in September to bring my 150 to the Black Hills if it survives the growing season. Has there ever been a weigh-off that has weighed two 150 pumpkins at the same site? Now for some "helpful" ideas- Remember..hail nets only work if they cover the plant when it storms. With how much hail you get...maybe you should just leave the 150 covered all the time. And don't plant too early...I am thinking that July 15th should be your ideal start date. Thru-out the summer..i might think of a few more "helpful" ideas to keep you down at the bnot level...feel free to ask.
