Does anyone use Command to control weeds in the patch? We use it at our farm on our field pumpkins. I did use it on my AG patches and it worked great with no sign of damage to the plants. My question is does do any damage to the soil?

Command controls grassy weeds. Preen is a grass herbicide. I once used Preen to try to control foxtail in my tomatoes and beans. It did a great job on the foxtail. But the pigweed, lambsquarters and marestail were not affected. And the galinsoga thought it was a fertilizer. I have been fighting the broadleaves for over 20 years now. I would be afraid of causing the same reaction.
I have been using glyphosate ahead of mt AG plants, but I'm going to cut way back on that. I'm hearing lots of information about health risks. I'm thinking about getting one of those propane fired weed burners. Kills weeds without stirring the soil to damage soil structure and stimulate more weed germination.
