I want to invite everyone to share what they learned in 2016 and perhaps nominate someone for a best new idea or tip given out to the growing community. I don't want anyone to break any vows of secrecy. But if you want to give credit to those who shared info (not in strict confidence) in 2016 please do so.
I would like to thank (and nominate) mobymikeguide (Team Beard) for his (really unquestionable...) suggestion that a secondary can be used to grow a top-of-the-scoreboard pumpkin.... There is no question that growing his 2106 on a secondary proves we can think differently about our vine layouts and where we might consider setting fruit and culling fruit in 2017.
Who else is helping the sport? I know Willamijns and other top growers are kindly continuing to share information. You top growers are really great, thank you.

Control SVBS from the beginning. My whole pumpkin plant died had to cut my pumpkin off early, but was able to grow my 417 chandler(Scarface) 12.4% heavy. The pumpkin was 7" thick in the front.
