Hello, My name is Eric I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to pumpkin growing but i love to garden and learn new things i am looking for something new to grow this next season i have limited space available looking for ideas thanks

Giant sunflowers. You can go for height or diameter of the flower. A good starter crop. For big pumpkins, consider growing in a limited space, such as the 150 square foot contest. You can check out the 2016 results several posts back. Good luck.

You might like to try the 150 sq ft competition you could grow a maybe a 600+ lb giant pumpkin in a 10x 15 ft space! Or a 150 leaf plant for a slightly different pumpkin growing challenge?

Are you looking for ideas for size/weight competition, or are you open to growing for eating as well? I grow giant pumpkins, as well as a lot of vegetables for consumption. I derive considerable enjoyment from growing both.
