I heard there's over a foot of snow in some of the southern area's of the province. Hopefully no crop damage? Hats off to you Alberta growers, the weather you guys deal with year round is crazy.

Nope, no damage, just a lot of badly needed moisture, unless you are farmer still trying to get your crops in.
I saw this coming in the forecast and had to rush to try to get my fall soil prep done before it hit. It should all be gone in 2-3 days. I should still have 3-4 weeks to get things finished.

That's good the crops are OK. Kinda crazy to see that much snow just 1 week after the weigh off.

There is no real 'normal' for us. My 2003 diary has a big snowstorm in mid-September. Anything can happen down here, which sadly keeps things very interesting. Anytime we can get something out of the garden at the end of September without the use of a greenhouse is a good year.

I remember trying to grow a small veggie garden when I was younger & lived in Edmonton. It got flattened by golf ball sized hail in July. I was pretty sad about it. haha
