I keep hearing that brought up with the new 2623 record! curious what people think will be the limiting factor when we hit that point!

Personally I think we are not even close to the potential of these pumpkins the genetics just keep getting better and better with new science and tricks being presented each year I think 30 years from now we could honestly see a 7000 pounder based on the numbers.

if you look at the data every two years we have gone up in size by 300 pounds three world record average. Just blows your mind when you think about it!

well i believe the pumpkins gods.. are showing us the way,, there is a place,, for us all,, grown indoors,, or grown outdoors,, a special star does have to sit in your patch,, but every one of us has a chance,, the 4 lucks,, yes,, but we all need to find that star,, ot meteor,, to land,, well done .. matthia and bruno,, great job.. whom is next.. will it be you,, none,, can stop us,, but are own laziness.. its honest,, it is what it is,, believe in the 4 lucks

Good question Tanner!
I wonder how much improved genetics are a factor in the increasing weights; and how much other factors are responsible?

I would love to see a heavy hitter pop in a seed from 10 years ago and see if,they can grow a 2000 pounder from it. It would show how much or how little genetics have a role in the increasing weights. My guess is that genetics has a very small role in it and technique has way more.

There's no need to panic as we see the record go up. We've seen hundreds of Pb's again this year.
A first time grower getting 1300lbs outside in the UK!!!!
Genetics are getting better and growing techniques are improving.
I do think that we should only be growing plants that we can give 100% attention too. Growing loads of plants hopping that the bullet seeds turns up is a thing of the past.
