Today at the Indiana Pumpkin Growers contest at Fair Oaks Farm the state record of 1404 was broken 5 times!

The new state record now belongs to Mark Goodman of Marion, IN with a beast coming in at 1739 pounds from the 1998.5 Jutras (12.5% Heavy)not to mention that Mark beat his old personal best by an amazing 1020 pounds!!!

Keith Edwards weighed three sound pumpkins, one over 1500 and two more over 1600!!!

I brought up the rear of the record breakers with a 1418.5!!!

The Indiana Growers put 7 new pumpkins (all larger than the record to start the season of 1321.5) into our all time top 10 this year and raised our top 10 average by 215 Pounds!!!

Congrats to the growers of Indiana. Our average is moving up, and that is the overall goal of the IPGA. I'd like to thank the many people and/or growers I spoke to on Saturday. It was truly an amazing day in my life that I won't soon forget.
