Blatant brag alert:

Congrats to Lorelee Zywiec (pronounced zivik). Lorelee won the Nekoosa, Wi weigh-off today and in doing so completes 4 generations of New Richmond, Wi growers to win the event. This weigh-off isn't in our backyard. It's almost 3 hours away. This is historically the biggest event in Wisconsin. Joe Ailts was the first winner. John Hopkins was the second with his world #3 1675, myself third and the newest and latest is Lorelee (LL).

I think it's pretty cool to watch the progression and changing of the guard. Very fun times indeed. I'm very proud.

Congratulations Lorelee! Glen didn't look so happy surrendering that big trophy. I am sure he will be back next year to try to reclaim it. Nekoosa was an enjoyable weighoff. Growers in the area..if you haven't been to this one yet...you should put it on your list of must weighoffs to attend. Hint..there was only one pumpkin grower in attendance that was not not from wisconsin.
