1st. John and Merri Barlow 1929.5, 2nd Howell/Jolivette 1646.5, 3rd Carlson/Petersen 1563. 4th Pete and Alba Caspers 1137.5, 5th Mark McWilliams 1001. 6th Marlene Kuhn 829.5, 7th and 8th, Rusty and Cheryl Caspers 381.5 and 268.5, 9th Jacob McWilliams 236.5. That was it. All kinds of growers lost their pumpkins to the terrible rains this year. Way down from 30 plus an EXH last year. All but one of the field pumpkins came from right in Anamosa. We were lucky and missed the flash floods that were all around us.

John and Merri were very fortunate. Their pumpkin sat in water for a while, it had stem problems and he had to cut out over half the stem to save it. I wonder how big it would have gotten if he had decent weather
