I just want to let everyone who is in the Northeastern region of the United States that this is the last call for entries for the Woodstock Fair in Connecticut. This includes growers of not only pumpkins, but large squash (payouts for these two categories based on ranking of official weight) and watermelons, long gourds as well as tomatoes. Top prize for Class A “Great Pumpkin” is $1,000 and the watermelons, long gourds and tomatoes all pay for the top three entries. You are encouraged to let Gene (e-mail: Gene@team-pumpkin.org) or myself know that you are going to attend and what category you plan on bringing an entry for by Tuesday the 23rd. Remember there is no sing-up or registration fee, we just need advance notice to allow you to be eligible for premiums.
