I could use some help in knowing if this blossom end split would heal over or should I just cull this pumpkin and pollinate next one that will open in a few days. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryView.asp?season=2016&grower=70975&action=L

I would let it keep going and pollinate the next one anyway. It is tough to see how deep. It may just be a minor stretch crack. If it going to blow, it will do it within a week or so when it ramps up in gains.

I get those all the time when they are young. but yours is a little deep, just get it dry and get rid of that little bit of black flower residue as it will promote rot.
