paint concentrated fungicide (I use daconil) and put a fan on it and hopefully it doesn't travel into the fruit or pinhole. I cut mine off this morning but not flush as I caught it in time

bacteria causes the rot. If this problem occurs I will cut the blossum off til you see no brown, be careful and dot the cut area only with rubbing alcohol(or use peroxide which can touch the fruit), then I put Captan fungicide powder on the cut blossum.

To alleviate this problem I now on day 2 and 3 remove the bloom asap. Most times it looks brown but all of that usually pulls off. Then I take a q-tip with hydrogen peroxide and clean the blossum and lobes and put a small fan blowing indirectly by the blossum end.

what hank said, I pull the flower off late in on the day of pollination to try and avoid this but it still happens. I try to avoid cutting flush as you have less wiggle room.
