How long is your vine? How old are the fruits? If I am understanding this correctly, the fruit you do not want to keep should be cut only partially through creating a large wedge along the stem. Wait 24 hours from the cut and then finish cutting completely through with a clean cutting tool. I have not noticed my plant slowing down, but I have noticed more secondary vine growth. Hope this helps!
