Yesterday morning I went to pollinate a nice looking female on one of my plants. It seemed the night before it would be ready to open. It appeared that only half of the flower was kind of open so I did what I could to pollinate it. Then this morning the other half or so opened so I pollinated it again. Has this ever happened to anyone and do you think it will take?
Thanks,
Ryan

Sometimes twin babies are born a day apart. Maybe this could apply to a pumpkin also.

I had this happen before. I just finished opening the flower by hand and pollinated. Turned out just fine

I don't get sum till 9am this time of year and many don't open all the way by themselves till later. I don't wait till then and finish the job myself as BowHunter does.
