I am a new grower and have a few pumpkins on the vine but they are long and shaped weird or just shaped weird. What do y'all look for in a keeper?

I think people generally like longer for weight. I personally like the inner tube shaped ones which means when they lay down they will be much taller or wheel shaped. They look better in pics next to my kids since they are so tall, but aren't that deep in the back.

Looks like a missle. I grew some from a hardware store in 2010 and they all looked like that. Pick your favorite, let it grow and get something under it.

So the pumpkin that I was asking about on this thread the plant didn't keep, so the next one down the line took off and is still growing but again even weirder! Anybody have one grow like this?
