If the blossom sits a bit crooked on the female pkn like a ballcap a little crooked on a human's head (instead of straight up), is this a bad thing? In 2014 I had a pumpkin with immediate problems (non symmetrical and split day 30) and cannot remember if it had the crooked cap\blossom end. I have 2 more opportunities down the line before the main was terminated, but would need to figure out how to make room. The location of the above female is ideal in distance and position.
Any input on this is appreciated. Thanks

Usually when the flower opens the side it is leaning towards will be messed up and have seeds in. Basically an undeveloped lobe. If you have other opportunities I would pursue them.

Theres usually a hernia on the weird side of the blossom scar. Prepare yourself for something ugly when it opens.

I pulled your diary up luke --the blossom looks good on that pumpkin-that one had sterility issues-prob no seeds in one segment-wild looking pumpkin-wild isn't usually a good thing:)

Thanks fellas, opens tomorrow. I'll keep you posted but I have 2 more before I ran out of room and terminated main. The next one down looks good so far.
Yeah Joe, it was like all sections were growing except one in the back. Biggest day 30 I had till she blew.

You guys hit the nail on the head, it was a 5 lober shaped like a horseshoe. On the open side there were small white protrusions which I assume were seeds in the blossom. Next!
