My plant was heading in the wrong direction, so I have been slowly spinning it around a bit every day. I move main about 1/2 inch then stick a 1/4" dowel in the ground to hold it in place. Today the plant fell over and I assume snapped some roots. I got it upright with some support and put soil around the stump. Anything else I can do besides water and pray??

I had one fall over recently, as I had the hoophouse off, and was watering it. It was a little breezy, and I think this caused the vine to lay down. I wondered if any roots broke. I don't know, and will just treat it as I would any plant. The vine needed to lay down eventually. Even if a few roots broke, these plants are resilient.

roots below the surface should not break as the soil will hold them firmly in place. as long as the main does not snap you should be golden. when you say fall over i am assuming you mean roll over??? if so be sure to anchor the main and sides as soon as they are long enough. pap

Oh yeah! It is anchored down tight enough to survive a tornado. Plant is still growing well, so I think all is good. Thanks for the input.
