Purchased a hanging basket today and there was a packet on a lollipop stick labeled as "Bioline, Syngenta Amblyseius cucumeris"
I looked it up and it seems to be a packet of predatory mites designed to eat Thrips. There are no instructions so Im not sure if I open it and pour it on the soil or not.
On their web site they have other predatory insects. Anyone use this company before??

We use their products over here all the time. You will probably see a small hole in the back of the packet where the mites leave. Ian

It doesn't look new and the plant was in the nursery since about early April. The life span is short according the PDF's on this mite and the packet is not like a house, they don't return home from work after eating Thrips. So its not needed.

they would be too fat to re-enter the tiny hole
