I am looking for pollen. I am wanting to pollinate this week and my plants males are not developing. I live in east Kentucky and would be willing to drive to pick up if close enough. Thanks

Ha don. Plant is 22 ft now and in a green house I built. Weather has been stormy I have had shade netting over hut for a couple weeks I'm wondering if that maybe causing problem. I have took off shade netting and applied some bloom booster hoping that helps. Still looking just in case

Dwight,
Another thing to consider....if any local farmers/gardeners have Blue Hubbard, Buttercup, or other C. Maxima squash with males ready, you could try that route. Good luck!

I know 6.5Hr drive is too much, but I will be in KY about 3hr and 20min away at the end of the month. Also, if all else fails another possibility is to overnight ship it.

I think selling plants and pollen would be a good business to get into.

Hey EKyP,
Just a thought here that may not apply to you, and I am sorry I have no pollen to offer, though it seems that heating a green house with kerosene when curcubits are in the two to five leaf stage will result in a preponderance of female blossoms due to the production of ethylene in the combustion process.
