Dear fellow Canadian Growers
Do you have what it takes to take on the "GVGO's GREAT CANADIAN 1-TON CHALLENGE"!!!!!!!
There is still time to sign up. Deadline is June 1st.
$5,000 cash prize (+ $500 more if grown from GVGO seed) to the 1st GVGO Canadian grower to break the 2,000# barrier.
If 2 or more are grown over 2,000#, then the heaviest will win the award.
All you need to do is join up or renew your 2016 GVGO membership. For your $30 membership fee, you get a package of quality seeds (worth over $100), + you'll also get free entry to growers seminars & the 2016 Patch tour, 3 editions of our newsletter, discounts on soil tests, support & mentoring, if asked upon.
There is a new contest added that will run hand in hand with the 1 Ton Challenge. The largest Increase over Your Previous PB Contest will run each year until the 1st 2,000# pumpkin is weighed it. It is for all current Canadian GVGO growers & the rules are pretty simple.
You must be a Canadian GVGO member in 2016 to qualify. It doesn't matter if you were a GVGO member in 2015, as long your a member in 2016.
Prize for the largest increase over your previous PB will win $800. It will increase to $1,000 if it's grown off a GVGO seed.
Grower must donate up to 50% of their seeds (depending on seed count) to the GVGO.
Winner must CONTACT US to prove their win by providing details of where & when you grew your previous PB.
Pumpkins must be weighed at reputable sites & adhere to GPC rules for both contests.
Winner of the 1-Ton Challenge cannot qualify for the Heaviest over your previous PB contest.
If the 1st Canadian 2,000# pumpkin is taken to the right weigh off, they could win over $11,000. WOW!
