I have an 881 Dill (1998) growing right now. The cross is 810 McInnis x 892 Hebb (UOW)
What is the ancestry of the 892? Was the 892 a damaged fruit? If so, was it weighed early? Did the 892 weigh light or heavy to the chart?
Thank you to anyone who can help me learn more about this seed.
Also, if anybody nearby is interested in pollen from the 881 plant, let me know. I will post plenty of photos in my grower diary. tm

I didn't do anything special to get the seed started- just a rinse in 50/50 water/hydrogen peroxide, then about an hour soak in purified water, then put it in a napkin & plastic bag and put it near a heater that I was running for my chili peppers.
I had another 1998 seed (682 Mettler) germinate, but it never popped out of the soil. The root grew a good bit, but no plant ever pushed up from the seed.
Also growing are the 859 Mombert '99, 713 Kurkowski '01, 960 Rose '01, 895 Wilson '02, 546* Welty '02, and 880 Bortner '03. Several others didn't pop- the germination rate was about 30% for all of the old stuff.
