Has anyone used black plastic on top of the planting site to help warm the soil?

I think using clear is better.

I have found clear does heat better than black.

black absorbs the heat more than transfers it.

Glad I read this before putting black down, need to warm up the soil here for the 150 Sq Feet Comp, growing through winter should be interesting.
