It won't work for Vine borers (need a systemic), but Organocide has worked as a spot spray for me a few years now. It also helps control disease as a plus. I also built a frog and toad breeding pond directly adjacent to the patch. I had at least 500 toad tadpoles morph out of there last year and they helped control various insects as well. Many have already showed back up this Spring and are already calling.

Kaolin Clay is a particle film barrier that offers some protection for the organic grower. Kaolin clay is an anti-caking agent used in toothpaste and other ingredients. It was accepted onto the OMRI list in 2000. It acts as a barrier between the pest and the plant by forming a film making it difficult for the insect to get to the plant. The insects do not like to lay eggs or feed on the surface. Kaolin clay has a white color and that is not what the pests are looking for so it makes it hard to find their host plant. Then the clay sticks to them and they get so busy cleaning it off they forget why they were there in the first place! Kaolin is marketed as Surround for the garden.
There ia also a common thing to use but I cant think of it

Pyganic is tremendously leathal if your a bug and very effective if you're a grower. The Amish use it around here to grow their organic stuff.

Really depends on the pest. Neem oil is a great one. My favorite brand is Ahimsa because it's higher in azadirachtin. FYI, neem is not systemic though. No organic pesticide is, to my knowledge. Green cleaner, karanja oil, sluggo, diatomaceous earth, actinovate, etc....
