I have been busy collecting seeds over the winter. I now have a problem...more good seeds than i have space to grow. A little over a month to decide if i am going to grow for HD, or big and orange, or biggest(looks not important) or something completely different...grow greenies and look to cross to make the prettiest bluest fruit i can. Right now, the HD candidate seeds are in the lead..followed by big and orange.....it all can change before April 15.

Definately 1756 H/J (if it germs) and my own 800 Doetsch 15 (1781 Zywiec x self). The 1756 and the 1781 were both the biggest over 2k producers without nothing but the 2009 in it. About the other ones I have not decided yet. Maybe a 1750 Martin (big and orange), a 890 Bogie (had better growth rates than the 2096 Meier), 1707 Bogie (890 x2323), 1945.5 Daletas (what a brilliant cross! maybe a perfect partner for the 1495), 1495 Gorichanaz (Big and orange?, should be a great pollinator as well!) or one of the different 2096 x X Crosses. Still can`t decide what is better. Genetic diversity or concentration of very good genetics.. Awesome lineup of you guys! =)

It was excruciating, but after taking last year off and resting the patch, I'm down to a 1921 Weston, 1533 Haist and 359 Foss for this year. We are having a very warm spring with flowers coming up and buds on some trees are busting from their swollen casings. T minus 30 days till I start.

My 1340 or 887 will for sure get one spot, 1806 Mathison will get another, The 2058 Hawkley, 1781 Haist, 2032 Mathison, 1969 Haist again, 1954 Lancaster will fight it out for the last two spots...I think...
