Thanks for the answers and it was actually pretty awesome! I gained some insight on a few things. For a while there were so many questions it was hard to keep up. My screen kept on turning on and off, rebooting, don't know if it was just mine or not, looked like it was a bad connection via satellite. I especially liked the latter of the night where we could directly ask Ron questions. thanks

The speaking event tonight with Ron Wallace in my opinion was very successful and very informative. I actually was very surprised on how fluid everything ran. The flow of the questions and the answers from Ron were bang on. The wrap up with random Q&A was good to. This would be a great model for future events. I would cap the time for Q&A as typing for extended periods of time might be an issue for some Guest speakers.

There were others with connection issues, I missed at least 3/4's of it because I lost connection all together. But with Ken publishing the transcripts, we can take our time and study the whole interview.
Spambie, we were thinking the same thing on the time lines, We never had a gauge before tonight, so moving forward we will make it easier on the speaker As far as smooth, that all goes back to Joe and Ron and some technical advice from Cecil

Ron is as quick as a cat responding to questions and giving intelligent, researched and experienced information that he's learned. Throughout the discussion I realized how much he actually loves growing pumpkins, it was quite obvious. That kind of joy he has for this hobby/sport kindles other growers to be interested in his responses. He and Pap are two of the best growers I've had the opportunity to chat with over the years. Thank You Both...

A crazy thought, someone should gather alot of info from this site and write a book, money going to Ken. A pict of Bigpumpkins.com on the cover, and revised, book#1,2 etc,,, every few years, tons of info on this site & picts.

For sure, we are looking to keep these going with possibly one a month until March or something. Joe Ailts will be the next one up. We haven't set a date yet but hopefully we can get it done mid January. Ken will be moderating Joes chat. So once the 2 of them can collaborate on a schedule we will push forward.

Hey Iceman... Can we get a Watermelon chat with Chris Kent, Lloyd Bright, Frank Mudd, or Bill Edwards? I thought last night was absolutely great tho. Ron was quick to answer almost everything thrown his way.

This was very informative; I don't have a lot of growers here where I am at to ask questions, but with this Feature grower here on Big pumpkins,it helps out a lot.

It was a real treat to get straight forward answers from a Champion grower. Ron provided fantastic insight.
Prepared questions were like rapid fire. Good to see those addressed.
The latter 'interactive'section was fun too as additional specific questions were addressed.
