What better way to stave off the winter doldrums than to keep engaged in lively, relevant pumpkin talk? I'd like to propose pulling together some scheduled featured grower & featured topic chats on this site this winter.

Sure the auctions can provide a degree of social interaction and entertainment, but I'd prefer to mix in some healthy debate and learning opportunities as well.

Whaddya say? Do me a favor and toss out some names of growers you'd like to hear from and some topics that deserve commentary from our local pool of experts.

To get the ball rolling, I'd be happy to provide a soil fertility - soil test interpretation overview and Q&A.

We could schedule these midweek during the evening or an hour before auctions on Saturdays....please offer your suggestions.

Right there with you Joze, also working on a similar scenario.
Actually our thoughts were to set a date and time and then open a thread where people could pre ask the questions, so time could be expedited and also have a moderator to post the questions. Then the final 15 minutes could be an open Q and A.

This is truly a blessing to tap into ... in the chat room ... then if the entire chat room conversation were duplicated in a discussion board for those that missed or further conversation ...
