I just harvested the seeds from my 888 and they have been drying on a screen for about 3 days now. They are good sized but about 90 percent of them are a real light almost white color. Some of them are a tan color witch I thought all of them are soposed to be. Are the light ones any good?

White seeds are common. As long as they are filled out and not hollow shells they should be OK. Might even germinate better without the hard seed coat.

Great I was thinking that they would all be no good.

White seeds are very common in all orange pumpkins !

White seeds are common in orange pumpkins yes but if 10% are tan that sounds like maybe the seeds are white because they did not mature. You should do a germination check once they are dry to be sure.

I was thinking the same as Jim(Orangeneck). Do they feel partially hollow, or filled out?

I agree with Jim and Doug too. Both are common. My prettiest pkn of all time was a white thin seed (1059 Vincent McGill). And from my experience, if you have a pkn with the robust caramel color, all the viable ones in that same fruit should be like that. I've had some give half white\brown and all viable ones are similar in appearance, but a germination test won't lie. Good luck

Josh was this an open or controlled pollination?
Wait until the seeds are entirely dry, many times dark tan seeds are empty if the rest of the seeds are white or lite tan.
