Last year a lot of folks freaked & thought Beni & greenhouse growers would own this sport/hobby for good.Well I think a few outside growers proved that theory wrong.There are too many factors involved.No one will ever own this great sport. Thats the fun of it all.You can have a great season and be a new grower.This season will help bring a lot of growers back on board.Im real happy for Ron Wallace & the top 10 this season.Congrats to awl!!

Mark, it's amazing what growers did outside this year thats true, however greenhouse growing is the future and would dominate the top 10 if there were more growers in greenhouses. You can control everything in a greenhouse, I learned this first hand..

Yup its all about dialing it in... but one still has weather to deal with...unless one is also supplementing light as well.... then there's that all important > Lucky Seed too.... the future is what we make it....

It would be interesting to know how many greenhouses were used to grow competition pumpkins in Wisconsin this year.

I do think there is another reason greenhouse growers do well besides the environmental advantages. If I'm going to spend the time and money putting up greenhouse you better believe I'm going to be in there working my butt off. The greenhouse growers are very serious due to the commitment it takes dealing with the greenhouse...
Imo.

Agree Bubba. You can have one really good year growing in a greenhouse and not the next year as some people can attest to. You think you got it down one year, then the next year not...like one good round of golf. If I could construct a greenhouse I would. I will compromise with larger hoop houses next year and some shade cloth.

Very true Chris, same reason I dont give away my best seeds. If your not willing to spend a little money on a seed to help grow a prize structure for a club.Then you most likely wont give it the care it needs to reach its potential
