i'd like to say thank you to all the growers that helped make the 2015 north carolina state fair weigh off such a success.although the weather here this year kept numbers down, we managed to put on a nice show.congrats to mr. gale newsome for his winning pumpkin, and congrats to chris kent on the largest watermelon grown in the world this year at 302 pounds.
my son, tj, had the second place pumpkin and is still on cloud nine, he's called half the county and told em lol
again, thanks to all the growers, my family and i had a blast, got to see some old friends, made a few new ones, after all, aint that what this hobby is all about?

I just rolled in, Thanks again Gary for all your hard work too to make things roll along smoothly. It was a super event and Robert Burchette is a classy Master of Ceremony! The NC State Fair and the NC Giant Vegetable Growers have an event that growers and people will love for many years to come! Congratulations to Gail, Chris and TJ, great job bud!
