Thanks everyone. Joe, the central valley record is held by my best friend Rob Globus at 1970. Guy, no shade cloth used but misting every minute when it's hotter than 106. A very special thank you goes to Eddy Zaychkowsky (heart of gold)who graciously gave me the 2009 Wallace seed. One half of the seeds will be given to you Eddy. Can you please email me. I'm having issues trying to get emails to you. Might be another good fund-raiser seed! (If not for a sulfur problem, this pumpkin probably would have taped 30 inches larger.)And last but not the least I need to thank my sister Karen who I put as co-grower this year. If not for my sis I would not have had any plants. She took good care of them while I was hospitalized many times this summer. Love ya sis. Ron Root
