Good luck Josiah. I tried to find out what the max weight was on the scale but I have no idea. It's big, let's just say that.

One could always offset minus the scale...say 200 pounds...and see what it says....

Wizzzzzzzzzzzzz, we did exactly that in a patch here recently and found that the scale will not measure more than 2000lbs of load, even if the "tare" weight is deep into negative territory.

great suggestion tho.

You could run a beam above with 2 scales, one on each end. then subtract the rigging weight

Yes, but we already know the scale only gives the "OVEr" reading after it surpasses 1990lbs. One could apply upward force until it read 1990 again, but you'd have no way to measure how much force you are applying upward, which is the million dollar question in these circumstances, unless you were applying the upward force with a second scale...
